So I'm sitting here with nothing better to do than watch the
Vice-Presidential debates. So far watching this debate and the
Presidential debate from last week I just have one question. Why is it
that political candidates can't just answer the question? Neither of
the candidates has really answered any of the questions directly.
As
I sit and watch this, it's pretty much turned into a debate on who can
slam who the most. It's truly a non-partisan debate. Both the
Republican and Democratic candidates are guilty on this count. Just
once I'd like to hear some political candidates just honestly tell me
why specifically I should vote for them, rather than spending all of
their time telling me why I shouldn't vote
for their opponent. I guess it's simply the nature of the beast that
all political races will end up being mudslinging contests.
I guess this is pretty much the reason why I always end up voting against candidates rather than for them. I cannot seem to ever find a good reason to specifically vote for any specific cannidate.
